Any active domain which is added in a hosting account includes a variety of records that enable it to perform properly. In the general case, the name servers (NS records) show where the domain is hosted and they're set on the side of the registrar company, but on the lower level there are certain records created through the hosting company like A (IP address of the website/server), MX (e mail server), SRV (employing a domain name for non-website purposes on a particular port number like Voice-over-IP), and many others. Having access to these records and by being able to edit them, you may have your website with company A and your emails with company B, for instance. This offers you more freedom as you can choose the best provider for each of these services and you don't need to stick to one company. After you select a hosting company, you have to make sure that you can access all DNS records freely since some companies have an extra fee for this feature.

Full DNS Management in Hosting

You will have complete control of the DNS records of your domains and subdomains with each of our hosting. Through the Hepsia hosting CP, you will be able to access an easy-to-use tool where you can find all present records or set up new ones with no more than a few mouse clicks. Besides the default A and MX records, you can set up CNAME, TXT, SRV, and you may also set up private name servers for any domain name that is registered with our company. The custom records will provide you with a lot of freedom and will enable you to do things such as hosting a subdomain on our servers while the main domain name is hosted somewhere else or vice versa, using a third-party email service, and so on. We're never going to ask for any fees from you to be able to manage the DNS records of your internet domain and the service comes by default with all shared plans.
