.NAME Domain Name Registrations
Started in 2001, the .NAME generic Top-Level Domain is the only one planned for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other labels people are popular by. At first, just third-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to buy john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired 3rd-level names remained online.
Through our company, you can obtain your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no special conditions on who can reserve a .NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.
The .NAME extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no further cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the correct spelling in your local language.
